Marine Transporters, Inc. offers a comprehensive benefits plan designed to
meet the needs of all our employees:
401(K) Retirement Plan
FMT matches dollar for dollar up to 11% and you are fully
vested in 6 years. Open enrollment is twice a year. Employees are eligible
after 3 months of employment and next open enrollment. The plan is
administered by the Synovus Financial Group and offers 19 mutual
funds/investment types.
Medical Benefits
FMT offers a cafeteria style group health insurance plan that includes
medical, dental and prescription.
Medical - Employees pay $55 every two weeks for single coverage (PPO
Policy)
Employees pay $110 every two weeks for dependant and/or family coverage (PPO
Policy)
Dental - Employees pays $8 every two weeks for single coverage
Employees pays $17 every two weeks for employee/spouse coverage
Employees pays $22 every two weeks for employee/children coverage
Employees pays $23 every two weeks for family coverage
Prescription - $10 co-pay for Generic Prescription
$30 co-pay for Brand-name Prescription Drug on the Preferred Drug List
$50 co-pay for Brand–name Prescription Drug NOT on the Preferred List
FMT also provides Life Insurance with Accidental Death and Dismemberment,
Short and Long Term Disability Insurance, and a 401(K) Retirement Plan.
Life Insurance - FMT provides coverage up to 3 times annual wages at
no cost to
the employee
Short Term Disability - Employees pays small percentage for coverage.
After a 4
week Elimination period, this insurance will pay 60% of your gross wages for

weeks if you are sick or injured and unable to work
Long Term Disability - FMT provides at no cost to the employee. LTD
will start after
STD insurance expires (26 weeks). This insurance will pay 60% of your gross
wages if you are sick or injured and unable to work.
